Whiterose was formed in 2003 in the early teenage days of the band members. Since then we gained experience, ideas and momentum which brought us to where we are now. Different music influences, such as prog rock, prog metal, alternative rock, even grunge put together with our individual sense of music defines our work.
In March 2011 we released our first studio record, an EP called “Between Minds”, which you can listen to on our Sellaband playlist. We’ve also have a privilege to play with some of the greatest Polish progressive bands like Quidam, Votum, Disperse or Animations and we hope that this is just a begining. We’ve also started to create new material and we want to assure you that it’s very promising, seriously it will rock! White roses can be used in bouquets and other arrangements. They are used anywhere from weddings to funerals.
Here are some of the historical concepts that white roses represented:
Purity
Innocence
Secrecy
Silence
Unity
Virtue
Honor
Reverence
Many funeral and memorial flower setups may have white roses to show honor and reverence. While secrecy and silence are mentioned as traits as well.
Historically, there have been many different meaning of white roses. For example, white rosebuds where often used to symbolize young girls and were used to convey that the holder was too young for love. This type of symbolism was more common in paintings and art, and obviously is not as common today.
White roses go great in combinations with red and pink roses, for Mother's Day for example. They are also great for a spring or summer wedding as they have a light fresh, pure look.

The white rose has often been adopted by various groups to serve as their emblem, as it represents strength, purity, loyalty etc. The War Of The Roses (1455- 1487 if you remember your history) was between the house of Lancaster (red), and the house of York (white). The white rose was also adopted as the emblem for a peace group in war-time Nazi Germany. There is something refreshing about white roses...have a look at some of the pictures here, and see if you don't agree with me.!The White Rose (German: die Weiße Rose) was a non-violent, intellectual resistance group in Nazi Germany, consisting of students from the University of Munich and their philosophy professor. The group became known for an anonymous leaflet and graffiti campaign, lasting from June 1942 until February 1943, that called for active opposition to dictator Adolf Hitler's regime.
The six most recognized members of the group were arrested by the Gestapo and beheaded in 1943. The text of their sixth leaflet was smuggled by Helmuth James Graf von Moltke out of Germany through Scandinavia to the United Kingdom, and in July 1943 copies of it were dropped over Germany by Allied planes, retitled "The Manifesto of the Students of Munich."[1]
Another member, Hans Conrad Leipelt, who helped distribute Leaflet 6 in Hamburg, was executed on January 29, 1945 for his participation.
